Service rules (conditions)

Rules adopted by the General Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the service.

Acceptingto the position of the Ordinary and Small Chief Staff.

1 The entrance to the internal affairs bodies is on the basis of a competitiveness and transparency.
2 To the service in IAM are admitted citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on a voluntary basis, having personal and business qualities, physical and professional training, health status and level of education, which is suitable for the service in these bodies,fully completed military service and having general military service(except for women), fluently knowing the official language of the Republic, from the age of 20, and as a rule not more than 30.
3 Private and low level staff positions - can be persons with completed secondary, first vocational, secondary and high education.
4 Those studying in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, just after graduating from the educational institutions of internal affairs bodies may be admitted to the service private and low level superiors.
5 To reserve officers arenot allowed to be accepted to the position of ordinary and junior chief staff .
6 Guarding body’s heightfor outdoor service is in the minimum size limit of 178 centimeters.
7 People who have double citizenship, with obligations to other states, religious leaders, considered according to the decision of the court the ones with no or a limited operational capability, previously been convicted for committing a crime, and criminal proceedings were terminated without basis for acquittal, the case of serious flaws, or engaged in activities incompatible with the internal affairs bodies or unworthyactions, excluded from the service of internal affairs organsas well as other law enforcement agencies of internal affairs bodies cannot be accepted.

Employing in the service of civil protection.

1 On the basis of the volunteerism, personal and business qualities, health status, physical training, which is suitable for these services, in the term for military service in the armed forces fully completed military service (except for women), middle, secondary professional and higher education, knowing the state language of the Republic of Azerbaijan the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan are accepted to the service in Internal Affairs Organs.
2 People who have double citizenship, with obligations to other states, religious leaders, considered according to the decision of the court the ones with no or a limited operational capability, previously been convicted for committing a crime, and criminal proceedings were terminated without basis for acquittal, the case of serious flaws, or engaged in activities incompatible with the internal affairs bodies or unworthy actions, excluded from the service of internal affairs organs as well as other law enforcement agencies of internal affairs bodies cannot be recruited.
3 Employment in the service of the civil enforcement is carried out of in accordance with labor legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Interior, by authorized officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the AzerbaijanRepublic.
